During the next few months, we’ll prepare you for your arrival on the hill with The Road to Colgate brochure, our new student checklist, the community summer reading, and emails to remind you about important dates and deadlines. The items below are due within the next few weeks, they can also be found on the new student checklist. Language Background Form - Due May 28, 2025Colgate offers a wide range of language courses that you can take depending on your previous experience. Providing a more detailed description of your language background will help us explain the various ways you can fulfill the Core Liberal Arts Practice in Language Study. Upon completion of this form, you may also be prompted to complete a placement exam. Set up your accounts by May 31, 2025Please take a few minutes now to set up your Colgate computing/network account. This allows you to access and organize your Colgate email, and it enables us to communicate important information to you prior to Arrival Day. Please note that, after May 31, all Colgate communications will come to your Colgate email address only. - When you log in to your network account, you will be prompted to set up DUO for multi-factor authentication. Next, you need to enroll in Google 2-Step verification.
- At no cost to you, Colgate provides some academic software, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite. A full list can be found on the software page.

It covers academics, living on campus, health and well-being, equity and inclusion, pre-orientation programs, and, of course, Arrival Day and Orientation. We understand how important it is for them to be a part of your transition to Colgate, and their transition is just as vital.
